Hostel room, Rio de Janeiro

This is the DOOR and the WINDOW from our hostel room.
See something odd? Yes. The lack of a DOOR or a WINDOW!
It was just three brazilian flags that were hanging there - trying to hide our room from the corridor. I was in tears from laughter when I first saw this, and it quickly became a huge joke for us for the rest of the trip.
It felt safe none the less, because the hostel was behind a locked door and the people were nice and fellow travelers.

We did keep our bags and cameras etc. behind a lock.
