Check out this link. I find this usually
happens if I have comments in my XHTML code,
especially after floated div's. I see that
you are using comments to show the closing
div tags. There are hacks explained in this
link, but I usually find that the easiest
(but unfortunate) solution is to just remove
the comments altogether.
Yeah, this bug is a pain. I hardly use
comments now in my XHTML code between divs
just so that I don't have to deal with IE.
Another habit that I have had to adopt is to
use display: inline with all floated divs
that have some value of horizontal margin -
this is also for IE to get rid of the issue
with it causing the margin space to double.
To get around this one a lot of people will
use padding instead of margin - but it
becomes improper use of padding. Here is
