Little Professor Hand-held Calculator

Little Professor Hand-held Calculator by draggin.
Little Professor Hand-held Calculator
by Texas Instruments. Introduced in 1976.

This photo is one of the most popular in my entire collection, so I thought I'd give proper credit to the source for one thing, write a blurb, and add it to a few groups.

I came across this post from the kotaku team, which seemed to help explain what 'The Little Professor' did.

Basically the thing just displayed math problems in tiny red numbers and you had to input the answer. After going through a set it would give you your score. The whole thing was sound free as well.

There seem to be several available on EBAY at any given time.

same model as above from the National muesum of american history link

a bad shot from the computer museum link

48$ ???

Awesome nostalgia! Can't remember really caring for the LP as a kid but I always thought it had such an interesting look to it.

I remember this too. Wasn't one of his eyes red and the other green that lit up when you got the answer wrong or right?

hehe i remember this too - never had one but I luv the 70s nostalgia thing!

PS if buying anything off ebay avoid mr35mm like the plague!!! Sells damaged gear without mentioning the damage (like scrapes and scuffs on the lens of a £230 ($500 dollar) lens).
