   daffodil: that is ice! Mostly, people are skating on the ice. It is the Rideau Canal that freezes up and when the ice is sufficiently thick, the canal officially becomes an ice rink where a LOT of people go each year. There is even a festival. Check it out.

   Absolutely magnificent! The festival is called Winterlude and it takes place on three consecutive weekends in February.

    the road detracts from this shot to me.... Othewise a pretty nice shot.... what if you had been over to the left about 100 feet or so ?
