A' Chòigeach, Wester Ross. 04/04/10

Evening light on the hills of Coigach, seen across Loch Lurgainn from the summit ridge of Stac Pollaidh. This shot was taken in April, with the last of the winter’s snow still on the high hills.

I posted a similar shot from that evening a few months ago. I’ll soon be spending a week in Wester Ross and Sutherland and, conditions permitting, I hope to be able to post some fresh images before too long!

Well done Doug. Was hoping to go walking in Assynt myself in October for a week, but I seem to have developed a dodgy knee so will have to rest it in Lewis instead.

    Wow Doug.

It's all happening - the clouds, snow-capped mountains, the glassy loch and the beautifully textured foreground. I am always stunned and amazed by how much depth you achieve .

I can feel the air and it's the next best thing to being there.

And I say that stuck in Lumphanan with a house full of sick children!!
