Yellow Sea surf

This was a wonderfully spooky experience. I was alone down by the water, and the surf -- by far the heaviest since I've arrived here -- was pounding the rocks and throwing spray 20 or 30 feet into the air.

Those lights out at sea are a mystery, but I think they have something to do with the pervasive military presence around here. Anybody know? They're incredibly bright, lighting up the surface of the water for miles, and they're on every night.
