Melanelia disjuncta 'Mealy Camouflage Lichen'
Melanelia disjuncta 'Mealy Camouflage Lichen' is a dark brown (this sample is wet), adpressed, foliose lichen with flat to slightly concave lobes. Soralia containing powdery soredia arise on the lobes by a gradual disintegration of the cortex. They are very well developed on this specimen. The lobes lack pseudocyphellae. Growing on a siliceous sandstone. ID by Janet Marsh. Marston Creek, Kananaskis Country, 6066October_09__2010
