Day I arrived in Death Valley the temperature peaked at 119ºF

Day I arrived in Death Valley the temperature peaked at 119ºF

… which is 48ºC. Luckily it had cooled to a balmy 110ºF/43ºC by the time I arrived … but it was still that temperature at 11PM at night! Thankfully by dawn it had cooled right down: to 97ºF/36ºC.
