today, I'm sharing with you something very beautiful my friend John Millman made.To make this little garden, he used real plants such as moss from the side of our building, echeveria (a type of succulent), hens&chicks, weeping rosemary, creeping thyme, a bonsai tree, a small mundo grass, kingsville boxwood, several more plants I cannot remember the names right now, black fine sand, rocks and little bamboo sticks. I think it is quite impressive....dont you???

Thank you for posting this, and thank you ever so much for labeling the plants (what type of bonsai is the tree?)! I found this while looking at moss terrariums (I love green, especially during the winter). I have been interested to the point of obsession with tiny gardens lately, and this is by best the far I've seen! This is tiny and cute and yet still serious enough not to be kitschy - and it looks absolutely professional to boot! (Don't' suppose your friend sells these...?) Thanks again for sharing this. :)

I love this so much. I am a big fan of Bonsai, as well as moss gardens and miniatures! I would love to know more about it. Also, I believe the bonsai is a Ficus.

    Hi Danielle,

I am a producer on a program called Gardening Australia in Melbourne, Australia. I have recently shot a story with a presenter of the show and her children called 'Little Landscapes'. It looks at ways you can get children involved in gardening activities indoors and one such example is creating a litlle landscape of plants and toys in either a window box or a little bowl.

I came across this picture online and i am hoping that you might be able to give me permission to use this image in the story. It would only be on the screen for a few seconds, I am hoping to crete a montage of photos before we go back to the action of the children creating their gardens.

I can give you a 'courtesy of' credit on the program. So that you can see our show, I have attached a link. It is on the public broadcaster in Australia and is a very popular show. www.abc.net.au/gardening

I look forward to your response.

    Kind regards,

    Karen Wiggins

    Hi Karen,
Thank you so so much for interest on this image.I think it is wonderful you are producing such a great and inspiring program. I would be more than happy if you would use this image with a credit to me for photo. If possible, John Millman would also appreciate if you would mention his name too since he actually is the person who created this beautiful garden. If you are not in a hurry, I could post here a couple of more miniature gardens he created.Thank u again for your interest.I hope I'm not too late for respond.Cheers.:))...Danielle
