Gulet
The type of boats you see here are called "gulet"'s which are specific to these kind of waters ( the Aegean, Mediterranian)...Next to alternative building methods with steel and epoxy laminate the types of wood used in the construction are pine, mulberry, oak, mahogany, iroko (West African teak)..Teak is generally used on the deck and the interior of the boats.

... from Kos, Greece..looking at the Turkish coast line....One of the best views from the top of the mountain...The mountain you see across the Aegean sea is the Bodrum Peninsula which is my hometown in Turkey..By boat it takes about 45 minutes to get into the Bodrum Harbour.
