Economy Meats

An old favorite at the Grand Central Market. It's become surprisingly tame. Oh sure there are some beef hooves and three kinds of tripe. But where's the offal? No heart! No kidney! No tongue! My God man, no tongue?!?

Actually, they probably had some in the back, but what fun is that? When I was young, I'd love to peer at the goat heads and unknown squishy animal parts proudly on display. Alas, no more. Yet another experience denied today's children.

No offal?! That's awful! They have no heart. I guess the cat got their tongue. Sorry. The old Pioneer Market that used to be not too far away had the scary trophy game heads, remember? But today we still have sushi (yum!) and tiny dried crab snacks!
