Happy July 4th Weekend
Another shot from the new Summer Nightastic Fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom. The color palette suggested this one to celebrate the July 4th holiday weekend.
I'm staging things now for another attempt at shooting the July 4th Celebrate America fireworks show presented at the Magic Kingdom. Celebrate America is shown on both July 3rd and July 4th each year. From my experience, it is without a doubt the most amazing fireworks show presented at the Magic Kingdom I have ever seen. Every shell launched from the north launch location behind the castle, is duplicated by the same shell launched simultaneously from the center island in the Seven Seas Lagoon. When you combine that with the rarely seen 360 degree perimeters throughout the show, it can't be beat. When you watch the show from the beach at the Polynesian Resort, you have the added benefit of one set of the barges from the Electrical Water Pageant out on the lagoon, cycle the stars and flags sequence and playing the audio soundtrack of the show.
I haven't decided exactly where to stake out this year. Last year I was at Sunset Point at the Polynesian Resort and this year I'm debating either that same location or heading over to the Ferry Boat ramp at the TTC. Each has it's benefits but the key thing I learned last year is that I need to go with a much wider lense than I used last year to take it all in.
