The Magic Kingdom presents their July 4th holiday fireworks show on both the 3rd and 4th each year. This year I watched the show from Sunset Point at the Polynesian Resort and I was very glad I chose this location vs. inside the Magic Kingdom.
All of the shells launched from behind the castle were duplicated in a launch from the large island in the center of the Seven Seas Lagoon. The show also included full 360 perimeter launches at multiple points in the show.
In addition, for viewers at the Poly the barges from the Electrical Water Pageant were brought out and played the full soundtrack of the show and presented a continuous display of the flag and stars animation from the finale sequence of their normal show. Unfortunately since the barges are floating on water, and this and the other shots are long exposures, the barges are rather blurry since they were moving around throughout the shot.
This is now my new favorite location for watching the big event fireworks shows at the Magic Kingdom.
