Debenhams' confused identity

Debenhams' confused identity by Donncha @ InPhotos.org.
Debenhams bought Irish department store chain, "Roches Stores", back in 2006, and rebranded their Cork store on Patrick Street shortly afterwards.

Unfortunately nobody has yet replaced the big "Roches Stores" logo at the top of the building. It's still there, more than a year later! :)

The worst development ever in recent Irish Shopping history. Roches was the place of choice to exchange all the useless gifts you ever received and Debenhams certainly won't do that. Sheesh they even have signs up referring to UK legislation as a reason to not seel knives to U16s..

I agree. And they wouldn't give me change for the passport photo machine in their own shop unless I bought something. I went elsewhere and avoided shopping there since.

Might I ask what kind of lens you used for this Donncha?

Sigma 10-20 that's currently in for repair. Converted to b/w and did a little dodging and burning afterwards but this is mostly what came out of the camera.

I agree with you guys too, don't like their Patrick St store, but the Mahon Point one is a pretty good place to go for men's clothes!

Globalisation is lovely. You can buy the same clothes from the same Debenhams in any big town in the UK.
