A Step Above, more progress

Proof that I am much closer to finishing these (A Step Above, Knitter's magazine Summer 2004) - I got stuck on a technical detail approaching the heel of the first sock, so I started the second to see if I could trick myself into working through the roadblock when I hit that point on the second sock. It worked!

I suspect you ran close on Koigu with these because of the entrelac, don't you think?

For sure - I think the ribbing uses more yarn than pure stockinette, so I was doomed from the start, even though I didn't know I might run out of yarn. As for the fit, I think they'll be roomy, but close to my size - If I made them again, I'd probably use size 0 needles (and yarn with more yardage - I think these would look great in Lorna's Laces Glenwood. Not that I've thought about it a lot, or anything.).

Nice! I'm a big fan of the pattern and made 4 pairs (so far). I have a some tips for fit as well as the sts approaching the heel to make picking up the sts easier. See the "Pattern mods" section in this blog post.
