My first shot (straight from camera) with Nikon 105mm VR borrowed from my good friend and amazing photographer H.Rav
I'm experimenting the bokeh world now, still sucks at it.. man it's weird to change from ultra wide angle 11mm tokina to 105mm macro nikon lol
Currently I'm thinking whether I should buy this lens or the Zeiss 35mm f2 / Voigtlander 40mm f2

Haleakalā or East Maui Volcano is a massive shield volcano that forms more than 75% of the Hawaiian Island of Maui.
taken in front of the Kalahaku Overlook 9324ft [2842m] parking lot at sunset
the light trails sucks because there's no car at that time, I needed to wait and timed the shutter to capture it.
I think this pic with farewell to sea are my last Hawaii upload, the rest are crap haha
Time to shoot some night shots at Seattle again.. sigh..

farewell to sea

I honestly do not expect so many people will like this pic, so thank you very much :)
Located in the center of the 75-acre Waimanalo Bay Recreation Area, this long, white beach is very popular among tourists and residents alike. The sandy beach slopes gently into the ocean providing a wonderful area for swimming and other water recreation.
The island on the left was named Rabbit Island because rabbits actually live there after a rancher released the animals there. Today the island serves as a seabird sanctuary.

Mauna Kea (white mountain) is the tallest mountain in the world when measured from base to summit, since its base is located on the seafloor about 19,000 feet (5,800 m) beneath the Pacific Ocean, bringing its total height to 33,000 ft (10,000 m).
The summit is approximately 40% of Earth's atmosphere and 90% of the water vapor, allowing for exceptionally clear images of the night sky. Additionally, the peak is well above the inversion layer, allowing up to 300 clear nights per year
Considered to be one of the best astronomical sites in the world, it is home to many of the world's best and leading astronomical observatories.
--
The last 6 mile road to the summit (elevation 13,796 ft / 4,205 m) is unpaved, rough, steep, winding, dangerous and insane with no barriers to the cliffs
It's a road for a 4wd vehicle, and I was driving a rental 2wd Chevy Malibu
Poor rental car, she changed color from white to dark brown, and I'm lucky the tire did not explode, or fall off the cliff.
Got pretty tipsy from altitude sickness when I took this shot because I drove straight from sea level to the summit in 1 hour. There's a lot of Wēkiu bugs and ladybugs there.. creepy
It's too bad because I do not have the chance to shoot here at sunset/sunrise :(

somewhere near unmarked area on highway 30 in the southwest of Maui, Hawaii
I was exploring the area off the trail to find an angle for shooting sea cliffs when I found this rusty car a few feet from the cliff.
I do not know the story behind this car, it's pretty surprising to find it there
special thanks to Sylver... for the title :)
