Grasslands

Grasslands

Grass, water, swampy soil. Lots of wind, and a cat just behind me. Black.

The Tank

The Tank

I found this shiny little guy making his way across the forest floor; moving slowly enough that I was able to unmount the 70-300, pack it, and then unpack and mount my macro lens before he'd even gotten half a meter away. Lovely little bug(ger).

I've uploaded this image in full size so that you may appreciate the level of details. Aside from minor cropping and a little vignette, the image is untouched. The 7D and 100/2.8 macro-combo can really deliver when given enough light to work with.

The cake is a lie!

The cake is a lie!

Who said I didn't know how to take pictures of food? Nobody, that's who! Plenty of light and a wide-aperture lens, and you're practically done. No biggie.

The cake wasn't really a lie, by the way. I just said that to keep you on your toes.

Spelunking

Spelunking

Mønsted Limestone Cave - locally known as Mønsted Kalkgrube. A series of tubes that go so deep underground, all contact to the outside world (ie. my phone) was cut off just a few metres in. After that, it was just silence, darkness, and thousands upon thousands of bats. The place is amazing.

Pump it!

Pump it!

We came across this derelict pump while walking along a desolated beach. First we thought it might still be working - that was until I peeked inside the gas tank and found it filled with sand.
