C-Curve - Anish Kapoor

The C-Curve (2007) is a sculpture by Anish Kapoor. During the 2009 Brighton Festival it was exhibited on a specially constructed concrete plinth atop the South Downs chalk hills - near the remote Chattri War Memorial. [Google Map Location] [flickr photo]

The highly polished curves of the stainless steel structure reflect and distort the surroundings.

The lava like glow is streetlighting from Hollingbury and Patcham, and the resulting light pollution seeping into the sky.

This image is part of a flickr set, which includes sunset, dusk and gloaming pictures, and also some "speeded up" (by between x10 and x30) videos which exaggerate the movements of the clouds.
