• Not blank, but these fabrics are all white and cream scraps. I rather liked putting them in the middle.

Get thee hence!

This scrap quilt is so fascinating! The similar color fabrics that make up each square and then placed on white just shows each one off so well. Wonderful quilt, nice work!

Thanks. :) This was a fun little quilt that I didn't entirely intend to make. I had a five-pound bag of strip scraps from equilter that I'd culled from to make a double wedding ring quilt, and then I'd gotten off on a tangent of string quilts. I liked them, and wanted to do one, but didn't want it to have that standard String Quilt Look.

So I tried sewing a few sets of strips together to make a square, and trimmed it down to 8.5". Only took a couple of minutes. I did another, then another. It was stormy that weekend, so it was a good excuse to stay in. By the end of the weekend I had a huge pile of these, and realized if I was able to come up with about 10 more, I'd have enough for a quilt.

Some quilts you labor and fight over from start to finish. This one was just fun.
