2008: Yet Another Year in the Life of a Melbourne Multimedia-Designer

This 'one-pic-a-day' concept first reared its head back in 2003. I had just purchased myself a 'point and shoot' digital camera and was eager to learn and participate in the art of photography. I felt it would be good practice to always have the camera with me and shoot the world around me... as I saw it, as it influenced my everyday life.

So in 2004, I decided to maintain a daily photo diary. This was a little before I joined (or even knew) about Flickr, so the 2004 photoblog I did via hand-coded HTML. It proved to be a very difficult task as I strived to make each photo a 'masterpiece' so by the time 2004 was all but over, I vowed to never undertake such an exhausting project again.

So when 2006 rolled around, I was really beginning to miss the challenge so I decided to begin another 'Year In The Life'. This time round, the daily grind of ensuring I have a pic of the day was easier. I promised myself to stick to the spirit of this self-imposed concept - and rather than trying to make each and every pic a work of art - I would merely let the photo reflect an aspect of my day.

And here we are at 2008. Yet... Another 'Day In The Life...'
