Gertrude Street Projection Festival 2009In order to view this Flickr video, you'll need to install the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player. Driving through Gertrude Street last night I was quickly reminded about the Gertrude Street Projection Festival when I saw a menacing figure shadow its way across this wall!
From the official site: "A Festival week of projected media along Gertrude St, Fitzroy Melbourne. The street becomes a free walk, ride, drive through outdoor gallery at night. 20 sites will project moving, still and installation work where you least expect it. The program runs 6:00pm – 12:00pm for the week 3 – 10 July. Our theme is Dream. Dreams can be anything you imagine. Aspirations and fantasies for peace, safety or possibly for endless rain…your dreams are screened at outdoor sites on Gertrude Street from 6:00pm – 12:00pm for a week. Be part of Gertrufying the world!" Video shot with the Canon 5d MK II. Audio: The Horrors - Three Decades (easily my fave band right now!)
