Totally ridiculous how nice it is in Santa Ana, California right now...
I was there this past weekend for a wedding. Of course I didn't bother checking the weather and I packed literally an hour before I left for my flight, I brought all the wrong clothes and forgot a ton of stuff.
It's been raining every day for the last 3 weeks in San Francsico and Palo Alto (where I work). Every day is miserable, cold, wet and well... not looking like this. Traffic sucks too because we're limited to 70mph (50 when its really coming down hard) on the freeway so I'm always late for work. Of course, me being lazy, I havn't bothered to shut down my automatic sprinklers at home... I know.

I can clearly recognize Lido Island at the top of Newport Harbor. I used to live directly under the plane on Balboa island, obviously right in the John Wayne Airport flight path. Thankfully they have a strict curfew!
It's interesting how you can see just how thin the peninsula is, and I like how you captured the dark green color of the water and the reflection of the sun. They don't mind you taking pics out the window of the plane? I've never had the guts to whip out the SLR.

Great shot Marcus. You left just in time. It's been raining on and off all day in Santa Ana today. I'll be there again tomorrow and I hope Santa Ana and the surrounding area is like it is in your pic. Glad to hear you are at work again.Congrats!

Hehe! great shot...sorry about the packing tho. I only bring one change of clothes usually, and shop when I get there. So much more fun than fighting baggage handling and security checkpoints armed with toothpaste ;)
