Paps are slimeballs who feed off of someone else's limelight. They aren't talented enough to have a real job in photography, so they resort to stalkery and duplicitousness. And no, I won't get over it, asshat.

People wouldn't be interested in the rags or their damnedable pictures if it wasn't presented in such a salacious manner. It may be "proven" time and again that people care far too much about "stars" but don't forget, the rags TELL them to care. Much like the television does and pretty much every other media outlet.

If you buy celebrity tittle-tattle magazines, you are paying for this. It is your fault. (Of course if you buy those magazines, you don't care do you?)

@Opalburn: If you are doing what celebrity gossip magazines "tell" you to do then you are a badly raised primary school child, or an teenager / adult who is very, very stupid.

My personal view:
"Celebrities", as opposed to genuinely, justifiably celebrated individuals, need some paparazzi style photos to maintain their profile. B-movies and the like need to be marketed, and that kind of nonsense helps. But unfortunately they can't control all of their exposure.
