Sea Forts (Holga)

These are the Sea Forts, that were used to defend London in World War Two. They are off the North Kent coast in the Thames Estuary. During the 1950's the forts were left unmanned and taken over by pirate Radio Station in the 1960's. see video here

I've also found a short film from the 1950's that show the forts in use, its here on youtube, not great quality, but still worth a look

I've now added some pictures to this set that were taken inside the gun tower of Red Sands Fort. Taken Summer of '07

I have written a brief history of the sea forts, this should answer any questions you may have it's here.

The book The Sea Forts, featuring many of these pictures is now on sale.
