2008_12_28 Evening Conjunction

A rare conjunction of the Moon and three planets. These three especially. I wasn't ready, hadn't been following astronomical happenings as I usually do here in Santa Barbara. So when I saw the Moon making a flag with Mercury and Jupiter — with Venus high above — I ran for the camera and the tripod.
