2008_01_01 Santa Barbara New Year Sunrise

This is a long series of shots I took, experimenting with composition, exposures, settings of white balance, of saturation and sharpness, and finally of color level settings after the shots were taken. I even shot a couple in monochrome to see how they looked. The texture of the sky that morning was very rich and varied and detailed as well. In total I wanted to see how many different visual stories the shots could tell.
