BOS-LAX-SBA 10 August 2006

A morning trip from Boston to Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. I used the old Nikon Coolpix 5700, which does a remarkable job, considering. Most of the trip was spent dodging thunderstorms, and there were few clearings over the most picturesque places. We ended up taking an unusually southerly route. So, without maps, a GPS or familiarity with the terrains of eastern Arizona and New Mexico, I can't identify many of the shots in the middle here. Maybe some of ya'll can.

Above is downtown Malibu, with the Colony — home to many stars and their neighbors — along the beachfront.
