Driving at dawn, Marin to Mountain View, 20 February 2006

To reach Mashup Camp by 7am, I left San Rafael in Marin County at 6-something. The dashboard of the rented Ford Fusion made a nice shelf for the camera, which I set on P, with center-weighted metering to care most for the sky. The white point was set for flourescent, which favored the blue glow of a clear dawn. In the East, Venus was as bright as the light of an incoming plane. Just west of South, half a moon and all of Jupiter hung like two symbols on a flag. I pressed the shutter repeatedly, and the camera took this series of pictures, mostly at about a second each. It was, and still is, a trip.
