These are the mountains on the north face of the San Bernardinos, between Big Bear Lake (on the right) and the Mojave Desert (on the left). To the far left of these, fanning out into the desert, is Blackhawk Slide, a massive landslide othat happened between 17,000 and 20,000 years ago, or quite recently in geologic time.
