2007_05_01-2_lhr-lax_072.JPGShuna ![]() Looking southwest out the left side of the plane toward Jura, an island of Argyl in the Inner Hebrides and home to less than 200 inhabitants, among which was once George Orwell, who finished his book Nineteen Eighty Four there. Jura's only industry is the distillery where Isle of Jura whiskey is made. Between Jura and Scarba (the brown island to its right, or north) is Corryvrekan, where some of the most dangerous circular water currents can be found. Below Scarba is Luing, and below that is an island that Google Earth has declined to identify. Against the mainland in the foreground is Loch Shuna and Asknish Bay, alongside which are the towns of Craobh Haven and Arduaine.
