Jack and Florence Dwyer, my great aunt and uncle at their 50th wedding aniversary party in Brick Town, New Jersey. That's my father, the elder Allen Searls (the younger is my son by that name). As always, he has a cigarette going. If he hadn't smoked, he might have lived to a hundred — the age he would have turned next year.
