The Kayenta Mine, operated by the Peabody-Southwest Coal Company. A 17-mile conveyor belt takes the coal to a railhead, which connects it to the Navajo Generating Station near Page, AZ. The land here is owned by the Navajo Nation and the Hopi Tribe.
