This is a bizarre download speed reading we're getting in the dining room, where the laptops live. What causes the slow download speed? As you see in the prior shot, the IBM T40 in the same location gets almost six megs of download speed. As you see in the next shot after this one, the same 17" PowerBook gets full download speed. The problem is in the dining room and the kitchen, both of which are farther from the access point, though signal strength is fine. Weird.
