Meanwhile, I was not a happy customer. I'm a very frequent renter with Budget, and this is the first time I've encountered somebody behind the counter who seemed to go out of their way to provide minimal service, or worse. After taking two redeyes from the West Coast, and having had very little sleep, I was not pleased.
Of course, I realize that the world has much bigger problems than what I went through here. We should be glad we have civilization at all, I suppose.
But I want to think more about what it means to have an Intention Economy and not just a Marketing Economy. And this saga remains a good example of What Doesn't Work in the latter, as well as a good case for the former.
