    Photo Friday 4/28/2006: Famous

    Seattle has its own smaller version of the Statue of Liberty at Alki Beach. I felt like such a tourist as I took pictures of it. :P

      Thanks for the comments David! I'm really happy that I got the clouds and silhouette. I wasn't quite sure what it would look like when I took the shot. I'm also glad the tree was there for scale reference. :)

      I had considered cropping it down, but I decided to just post the untouched image for now. I might upload a cropped version later tonight for comparison.

      I have my xpro done at Rainbow Photo in Bellevue, but I'm considering trying another place. My xpro images have been really hit and miss lately, and I have a feeling that the lab isn't doing the xpro quite right (at least for what I'm looking for). I know Ivey does xpro without any problems. Jon Madison has his xpro done there, and he gets some great results.

      Very delayed, but hey, thanks for the response. I suspect I'll try Ivey when I get around to this.

      Oh, and I've seen this statue, now. :-)
