"Songs and Voices of the Civil War"
After researching the American Civil War, sixteen 4th and 5th graders from the Downtown School wrote and performed a musical about the Civil War in the Central Campus auditorium on May 31st. Their musical, “Songs and Voices of the Civil War,” told historical facts about what caused and ended the conflict. Students sang about and acted out skits based from previous class readings and research.
