Amongst the crowds these two were just standing quietly, but with great poses. If you look closely you'll see the guy isn't actually looking at the camera, which was lucky. Hard to see in this resolution. Also, I think his socks help the composition, though I resisted the tempation to Photoshop them to make them a bit brighter...

Early morning bathing in the holy town of Dwarka, on the south Gujarat coast. I only got this shot after I was strongly encouraged to get closer, which meant removing my shoes and attaching them precariously to the bottom of my backpack. Luckily there weren't any waves...

Veraval is a very unusual town on the south Gujarat coast. This is area, towards the docks (which are security guarded, no photography allowed), has almost no colour, which is very unusual for India. The architecture is also quite unusual.

I like the three people on this photo. The bottom left woman didn't move all day. I was lucky this the washing line pose of the right hand side woman. Although the light is very flat, taken in afternoon shade, in some ways this suits the bleakness of the scene.

These guys had a stall selling clothes in a crowded market in Ahmedabad. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to frame it better with the the blue arm on the right, and the chopped arm the other side - there were people everywhere beind me, though it may have been possible to rearrange the subjects. I really like the pose of the kid on the left with his arms held up in the air.
