Can I ask how you got access to these portions of the terminal? I've been around when the building has been open to the public, but obviously this sort of stuff is more interesting to view than the cleaned up portions of the place. Did you do a little "unauthorized" exploration, or is permission granted to wander 'round?

A member of the Central Terminal Restoration Corporation guided us through the entire building, including the tower (which is what you're seeing here - the 4th floor I believe). The main floor is cleaned up for corporate functions, etc... and the interesting stuff is indeed up a few floors. We went all the way to the top, but other than the view, the most interesting stuff is between floors 2 and 4.

There are tours given every so often. All that's needed is a little donation to the CTRC. I'll give you a heads up next time I hear of one going on.

This is the 2nd floor. That chair is in some many photo websites its not even funny. It is located outside the disbatch room. The 2nd floor is my all time favorite floors. This floor also has the old BCT owner Anthony Fedele's apartment here. Its in really bad shape though.
