Thanks!

Its not quite as tight as the old ISO50 (obviously) but the colors are good-ol' velvia!

Do you think it's as sharp as the fuji 'f' films? I wasn't that impressed with the sharpness of 50 even though it was plenty smooth and grain free.

I generally dont think of films as being sharp I look more at tightness of grain and contrast control - lenses on the other hand...

I think the grain of the original velvia 50 was amazingly tight and with a good sharp lens and the use of a tripod it was about as good as it gets in the sharpness department. I never tried the F versions of velvia so I can't say but I do like what the non-F velvia 100 produces currently.

This really is the only E6 film Im using these days, mostly I keep b&w film loaded so I'm not experimenting a lot with the other choices right now.

My only complaint is that it doesn't seem to scan as easily as 50 did on my scanner - mostly due to color.

I don't mean to sound like a nit picker. I just wasn't as happy with the 50 compared to Provia 100F with the same lens used on both.

I have a roll of Velvia 100 in the fridge, so I'll see if I get on better with that. It might just be me :)

Experimenting is the way to go for sure! I don't shoot as much film as I used to so I tend to stick to a few select types but I can't imagine you not liking the new velvia.

No nit picking involved when it comes to favorite films!

I love to experiment. However I'm almost embarassed to admit I've got my best photos with either Sensia 100 or Kodak Elite Chrome 100 Extra Colour.

With fast film it's different. I love Provia 400.

Agfa Vista 200 is probably my favorite color negative film... its super cheap but I think it has truer color than any other I have tried. I could never decide about sensia 100.

I've found sensia 100 to be pretty accurate and plenty sharp. Because it is not too contrasty it scans well.

Not as well as Reala 100 though. There is alot of talk of negative being inferior - which I mostly agree with - but Reala is smooth, sharp, and good for almost anything.
