vendors sell their merchandizes on the street floor. This vendor sells locally grown fruits. He says he grew up in this place and has been selling on the same spot for almost five years. He sells all sorts of fruits depending on the seasons.

Cirebon, Tahu Gejrot

The end product of 'tahu gejrot'. Principally one of Cirebon's famous local dishes. You can have it as an entree or as snacks. either way you have it, its delicious.

It's basically fried tofu soaked in a light mix of brown sugar, chilly peppers and shallots. served on a bowl.

The peppers are optional.

Here, the cook in action at his stall. Today, 'tahu gejrot' which once was street food are now available in restaurants or food courts at malls. It provides them with better access to running water which increase food hygiene significantly.
