I've been in full-on making-fatty-meats-because-it's-winter mode today, and have this pot (which is one of my favorite workhorses) filled with duck legs and rendered duck fat sitting in a low oven, slowly transforming the legs into duck confit. Nothing like a 8-hour poach in fat to make things tasty, right?
(Yes, there's cassoulet in my near future. Which will also get built in this pot.)
Saw the oven light casting the shadow on the lid, so I set up the tripod and framed up a few shots (rotating the pan and lid to get the handle and logo in view first). Lifted the black level in post to take what bits of the oven interior were visible out of the shot and focus on the pot itself.
I was tempted to go a little more abstract, cropping in tight to the logo and the sweeping curves on the lid, but I wasn't very happy with it.
