Merveille du Monde
The Mont-St-Michel at night. See previous picture for more information.
I took many similar images at different exposition, all around 20 seconds, at ISO 400, f/11 or f/16. I decided to try using image-stacking of 6 frames to remove noise without degrading the sharpness or losing details. This process removed the light streaks and diffraction stars from the cars (at the right of the picture) because they were different in all the frames, so I simply applied back that area from one of the source image.
The image-stacking noise removal turned very well, but I am also investigating the next step, known as super-resolution. Super-resolution uses the difference in aliasing of different pictures of the same scene to extract details beyond what was found in the source images. It's been used in astro-photography for quite some time, as well as for satellite imagery and by military and governmental agencies, but hasn't really made much splash in the consumer world yet. I'll update this description as I make progress on the subject.
Thanks to everyone else in the group for once more letting me sneak out on the desert so I could take these pictures. I means a lot to me. Thank you so much!
Picture slightly cropped, levels adjusted, and post-process using the methods described above.

Bravo !

Great photo. Thanks I'm interested if the several mounts were Celtic initially, dedicated to solar deities such as Belenos.
The Talmudic tradition rendered Michael's name as meaning "who is like El?", meant as a question: "Who is like the Lord?" The name was said to have been the battle cry of the angels.
Much of the late Midrashic detail about Michael was transmitted to Christianity through the Book of Enoch, whence it was taken up and further elaborated. In late medieval Christianity, Michael, together with Saint George, became the patron saint of chivalry, and of the first chivalric order of France, the Order of Saint Michael of 1469. In the British honours system, a chivalric order founded in 1818 is also named for these two saints, the Order of St Michael and St George. St Michael is also considered in many Christian circles as the patron saint of the warrior.

St Michael's Mount ,Cornish: Carrack Looz en Cooz
Website: www.stmichaelsmount.co.uk/
Its Cornish language name — literally, "the grey rock in the wood" — may represent a folk memory of a time before Mount's Bay was flooded. Certainly, the Cornish name would be an accurate description of the Mount set in woodland. Remains of trees have been seen at low tides following storms on the beach at Perranuthnoe. The Cornish legend of Lyonesse, an ancient kingdom said to have extended from Penwith toward the Isles of Scilly, also talks of land being inundated by the sea.
Historically, St Michael's Mount was a Cornish counterpart of Mont Saint Michel in Normandy, France.
c 2000 BC -Mount’s Bay, previously marsh forest, is flooded by the sea, and St. Michael’s Mount becomes an island.
c 400 BC to 400 AD -An important trading port for the export of tin and copper to Europe. Likely to be the island of Ictis, referred to in classical literature.
c 550 -St Cadoc, one of the chief saints of Wales and a great traveller, unexpectedly meets his aunt, the Cornish St Keyne, when he visits the Mount.
c 900-Date of recently discovered Christian grave, indicating possible Saxon religious settlement on the island.
1075-Following Norman conquest, St. Michael’s Mount is granted to the French Mont St. Michel.
Mont-Saint-Michel was used in the sixth and seventh centuries as an Armorican stronghold of Romano-Breton culture and power, until it was ransacked by the Franks, thus ending the trans-channel culture that had stood since the departure of the Romans in AD 460.
Before the construction of the first monastic establishment in the 8th century, the island was called Mont Tombe. According to legend, the archangel Michael appeared to St. Aubert, bishop of Avranches, in 708 and instructed him to build a church on the rocky islet. Aubert repeatedly ignored the angel's instruction, until Michael burned a hole in the bishop's skull with his finger.
