Brenda's Easy to swallow Cookbook

Cover for the Easy to swallow Cookbook, produced by my (late) Mum, Brenda Brady, in association with the Mouth Cancer Foundation.

Mum raised about £15,000 for the Mouth Cancer Foundation and was active on their support website. She produced this collection of recipes from various people, including fellow sufferers, and a few celebrity chefs who kindly gave recipes for free. Following my Mum's death last year (2008) my Dad finished the book, and we're almost ready to publish the first short run.

Strobist (lighting) info: one 550EX 1/2 power with stofen omnibounce through a bedsheet (I left my stands and brolleys at work!), behind and slightly to the right. Bedsheet was suspended from a laundry hanger. White paper reflectors on near side of bowl. Black card and a black book for negative fill (definition especially on spoon handle). I meant to take a setup shot, mainly for comedy value, but it was late …
