My Final Post! Goodbye Faithful Flickr Friends ~

My Final Post! Goodbye Faithful Flickr Friends ~

I'm ending my 13 months of Flickr fun. Thanks for all the joy you've given me in sharing photo's, comments and special moments. It's been interesting and enjoyable to get to know your personalities, in the photo's you post and in the comments you make. The world is full of wonderful people and I've had opportunity to play with some of the best!

The above photo received over 16,300 views in the past year. Another photo, Divine Love, received over 240 favs. Those are my record numbers - smile.

I don't have a camera right now - and in operating my non-profit corporation that provides aid to orphans, widows and other hurting people around the world, I just can't justify spending money to buy a new one right now with so many real needs calling my name! I've been posting from my archives stock of thousands and thousands of photo's. (I've been a self-taught photographer for 30 years so I've got years of pictures to choose from!) This takes too much time though and I just don't have time to give to this any longer. And with an average of 5000 new photo's being added to Flickr every minute, it's just doesn't have that same appeal it had a year ago ~ it's lost its intimacy and relationships.

So goodbye friends around the world. I will miss seeing your lovely new photos.

To See What These Eyes Have Seen

To See What These Eyes Have Seen

This elderly gentleman is a street musician in Cape Town. He plays the cello sideways, like a guitar. I spent a long time enjoying him, his music along with the sights and sounds of the city streets.

Bear Grass

Bear Grass

This one is still in the bud stage. This hearty plant covers the forests with beautiful white flowers. One of my favorite wild flowers of the spring.

Dwarfed by the towering pine trees, the forest floor was thick with these lovelies!
