Another excellent, unique shot of the famous bridge. Bob pointed out to me that pedestrians are on one side and bicyclists on the other. His dad worked on painting the bridge many moons ago.

I really like the composition here -- this shot does a great job connecting the bridge to its purpose of carrying people and vehicles.

cjanebuy - Painting the bridge was dangerous and hard work. I have a lot of respect for those who have worked on this beautiful bridge.

This is awesome. It's amazing the way the fog rolls in with such a distinct line. Looks like you were in the right place at the right time. Great shot!
disneymike (72 months ago | reply)
Mexxi - Thanks!
bluemaria - I guess I was in the right spot at the right time, although I didn't think so when I shot this. I was not happy about the fog at all. LOL

That really is some wall of fog. If I hadn't experienced it myself, I'd find it hard to believe how abruptly the fog density can change.

disneymike (72 months ago | reply)
The Twosome - Oh, the fog density definitely can change quite quickly as I found out.

Hi disneymike, on our news tonight the Board of Supervisors for the GGB is once again shopping for a bridge sponsor, so they can rename the bridge. So it could potentially be named "Yahoo Bridge" instead of Golden Gate Bridge. And, I'm not kidding. It will bring them potentially $70 million. And you know they will still raise the freaking toll to $7. They are complete idiots who should all be fired. They cannot manage a piggy bank. How tacky is "Yahoo Bridge"??? Grrrrr.
