steel works
I walked out of my apartment on Friday morning and saw this guy on the building site across the road bending reinforcement bars to put into the structural concrete. He starts out with long lengths of bar, which he then cuts into shorter lengths and bends into the appropriate shapes - all by hand! It was fascinating to watch him work and I was captivated by his hands and arms. It was a repetitive, boring job, but he kept working rhythmically and efficiently, bending them into shape with expert skill and attention.
He was my first stranger for the 100 strangers pool. Sadly I didn't learn any more about him as he didn't understand a word of English and I couldn't understand a word he said. He is also here. CommentsWould you like to comment?Sign up for a free account, or sign in (if you're already a member). |
