Najma Street to the Mosque

Najma Street to the Mosque by moonlight on celluloid.
Yesterday was my Qatarversary. Thats right, one year in Qatar. I have also recently(ish) moved into a new flat, away from a caustic environment and into a place that I can call home and enjoy as I please.

To celebrate, and as I prepare for a 3 week visit home, I thought I'd diarise a walk home through my new neighbourhood. Here it is.

Najma Street, full of groceries, cars and at this moment devoid of people. On a Friday morning this street is teaming with men making their way to the mosque at the end of the street to pray.

Happy Qatarversary! :) The flat I lived in was on Al Arab Street just a block away from Najma Street. That's a very familiar place!
