Upper Falls at Caney Creek

    Newer Older

I spent the day hiking through the Sipsey Wilderness in Bankhead National Forest with BamaWester, Nailbender, and RTalley. We hiked down to the Upper Falls on Caney Creek. We continued on to the Lower Falls which can be reached from the Upper Falls in about an hour.

This is beautiful. I actually just heard of Caney Creek Falls this weekend while I was hiking in Sipsey by a nice gentleman I ran in to on the trail. Where is it? He said to go up 33 and take Hwy 2 but do you go R or L? Then what do I look for??

Great photo; however if it was mine, I would have taken out the branch in front of the main waterfall, it is distracting.
