Look at my big beak.

Look at my big beak.

There were several female northern shovelers at Circle B Bar Reserve. I couldn't find any males but I'm sure they were hiding somewhere.

Spoonbill was so close to me

Spoonbill was so close to me

The first tiny pond on the right on Heron Hideout was FULL of birds Saturday morning. I haven't seen it like that since fall 2009. Tons of egrets, herons, ibis, tons of glossy ibis, 3 spoonbills, storks, 3 kildeer, yellowlegs and a lone snipe. There were just as many photogs taking pixs. Beautiful morning. And a "zippy" kept hovering over it wondering why everyone was stealing his food.
