She let us accompany her on her casual swim for over 20 minutes. Hawksbill turtles are endangered and I was lucky to see a few of them on this trip.

Thanks! I really appreciate your comments. I saw several hawksbill turtles and this one had the most perfect shell and luckily I met her in shallow water (about 15 feet or 4.5 meters) with good lighting. :-)

Technical: 9 - Great details!
Composition: 8 - It's hard to make a perfect composition with living aminals, they are all the time in move.
Eye Appeal: 10 - Bright blue water looks great! Turtle is very interesting too!
Commercial Viability: 9 - May be in some zoological or travel magazine.

Technical: 9- Exposure and focus excellent. Just a hair of "fuzz" on the more distant edge of the beast.
Composition: 8- Begs for a small (10%+) crop from the left. Too much cropping and you lose the sense of flying you've achieved. The vignetting is distracting. I like the "sameness" of the backround.
Eye Appeal: 9- The eye goes directly to the "flying turtle".
Commercial Viability: 8- As a single image, probably not. A small series of this quality would be better.

Everything is well done here but the vignetting is somewhat distrubing. I'd rather correct it or emphasize the effect with more edge-burning in PS.
Composition: 7
Good and that's it. With only one element placed well in the frame the composition seems to be just correct.
Eye Appeal: 8
Vivid but subtle colours make it a really outstanding work. Colour contrast between the turtle and the cyan water draw the attention. This species is really beautfiul. Generally very appealing.
Commercial Viability: 8
I always score the creativity here as the photo that is not original in any respect doesn't have much chances on the market these days. We saw many photos of this kind in folders, albums etc. but thanks to the clarity of the main subject this photo really stands out.
